We asked Margot what she likes about Brixton…
1. What makes Brixton special?
Its eccentricity, colours, sense of community and it has historically been a shopping destination for Londoners.
3. What’s your favourite local landmark?
My favourite landmark is the entrance of Reliance Arcade. It looks like an antique Egyptian temple from the outside.
2. Which 3 local places would you recommend and why?
The Brixton Windmill pub because they put on the greatest bands – The Effra because it’s a pub where everyone is welcome to be themselves and where all the characters of Brixton hang out – ASMARA, best Eritrean food in town!
4. Your personal soundtrack for Brixton and why?
Cody Chestnutt “Look good in Leather” for it’s irreverency & funk and also because everyone in Brixton looks good in Leather!
